Shane Warby, baritone, received a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and a Master of Music in choral conducting from Brigham Young University.

While at BYU, he performed many operatic roles including Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro and Germont in La Traviata.

Shane was a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square for ten years, frequently soloing with the choir. He has also performed as a soloist with the Utah Symphony. In addition to his solo work, he is a published arranger and musical coach.

Shane’s day job has him taking care of computers for the College of Fine Arts and Communications at BYU. His wife, Tracy, recently retired as the choir teacher at American Fork High School. They live in American Fork, Utah, with their son, Clark.

David Young, organist, is the principal organist at Boise First Methodist Church, or The Cathedral of the Rockies in downtown Boise, a post he has held for 16 years. The Cathedral also served as the performance venue of Cantus Youth Choirs in Season 1. He accompanies the traditional worship services on the Cathedral’s 77-rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, the largest pipe organ in the state of Idaho. 

David pursued private organ study as a teenager and continued his studies at Brigham Young University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Organ Performance and Pedagogy in 1997. While a student, he served as Organ Scholar at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, the mother church of the Diocese of Salt Lake City.

David has studied and played over 60 historic pipe organs in Germany, the Netherlands, England, France, and Italy.

Mr. Young also graduated from the University of Idaho with a law degree in 2001 and currently serves as a Deputy Attorney General with the Idaho Attorney General’s Office. He and his wife Adria Belnap have three children.
