Krista Carroll
Associate Director
Mrs. Carroll’s passion for music was driven from a young age. She made her first singing debut at the age of 5 as a soloist in front of an audience of hundreds and loved every minute of it. This set the stage for a lifelong love of music.
She has had a rich variety of musical experiences from accompanying instrumentalists, orchestras, vocalists, and choirs, to performing as a vocal soloist at community functions, benefit concerts, business dinners, and private events. Mrs. Carroll also has extensive choral music performance experience and has sung under the direction of Dr. James Jirak, Dr. Marvin Stallcop, Paul Gulsvig, Weston Noble, Dr. Anton Armstrong, Dr. David Ashcraft, and Dr. Eph Ehly.
Mrs. Carroll studied under Professor Kurt Weinzinger for 7 years in Vocal Performance. She has been a private vocal instructor for 10 years and a choral director for 6 years. She is currently a licensed Simply Music instructor and has her own piano studio. She has been teaching piano for 19 years and enjoys writing and arranging music as well.
She has also enjoyed her time in musical theatre productions including Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, West Side Story, Music Man, Alice in Wonderland, 100 Years of Broadway, Fiddler on the Roof, Jerusalem, Singing and Dancing Through the Ages, Julie Andrews Revue, Irving Berlin Revue, Honky Tonk Christmas Angel, It’s A Wonderful Life, and Newsies.
Mrs. Carroll has been married to Jonathan Carroll since 1998 and they have five children. In addition to her love of music, she enjoys playing volleyball and soccer, horseback riding, clogging, organizing, dabbling with lots of instruments, spending time with her family and learning new things.
