VoiceOver of Cantus Youth Choirs performed at the statewide conference of choral directors from the state of Idaho on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Emmaus Center of the Cathedral of The Rockies in Boise, Idaho.
The Idaho chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (IDACDA) requested auditions from choir across the state of Idaho and VoiceOver was selected to perform! Headlining the conference was director/composer of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC), Francisco Núñez. YPC has recently just returned with five gold medals from the World Choir Games.
VoiceOver performed I Ain’t Worried from TOP GUN: MAVERICK, featuring Natalie Walker, Davis Cook (bass), Spencer Perry (vocal percussion), and Alyssa Walker (whistle). Their second number was Believe featuring Ella Hessing, Davis Cook (bass), and Spencer Perry (vocal percussion). Their final number was Rather Be, apb Pentatonix, featuring John Orton, Davis Cook (bass) and Spencer Perry (vocal percussion).
Following their performance, Francisco Núñez cliniqued the group, providing feedback, encouragement, praise, and suggestions!
