Please read through the information below for outfit requirements for the Winter Concert on December 14, 2024 at NNU’s Brandt Center. All singers will need to source their traditional ensemble outfit (khakis/creams for Chorale, Concert Choir, Virtuoso, and Concordia). Singers that are in a pop ensemble like Contessa, Fortis, Bella Visi, and VoiceOver will have an additional outfit (see below). Rhapsody will wear their khakis/creams.
NOTE: We’ll also wear khakis/creams for Season Finale Concert in April 2025.
All singers (Chorale, Concert Choir, Virtuoso, Concordia)
All singers should wear their “khaki’s and creams” to rehearsal on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
When performing with Chorale, Concert Choir, Virtuoso and Concordia, please wear your neutral preppy khakis and creams look. Here’s a lookbook of the theme. Think white with pops of neutral preppy and you’ll be good! Please do NOT go out and buy a new outfit. We chose this look to save money for families.
Color palette
The overall palette is white with accents of neutral and muted tans and greys.
WARNING! Because the palette is so light, and the stage will be flooded with light, please make sure that age-appropriate and properly-colored undergarments (bras, slips, undershirts, long shorts under dresses) are worn.
Here are some ideas for assembling your outfit:
- White dress with a cream cardigan
- Camel khakis with a white polo, brown shoes, brown belt
- Ivory skirt with white shirt and tan cardigan
- White dress shirt with grey chinos, brown shoes, and brown belt, add a solid grey bowtie
- Grey suit with white dress shirt, brown shoes, brown belt
- Khakis with grey vest, white dress shirt
Hair
Please wear hair back, out of the face. Bangs that extend past the eyebrows should be secured back–for all genders. We want to see your face on stage!
Jewelry and accessories
Please no watches or bracelets.
Yes to scarves, cardigans, layers, and vests. You can wear your Cantus jewelry, pearls, small rhinestones, or small silver jewelry.
Footwear
Closed toe dress shoes please. Brown shoes are preferred if you have them or can borrow some. If not, black is ok. Guys should wear brown socks with brown shoes and black socks with black dress shoes. Belts should match your shoes. Casual shoes like sandals or canvas shoes may be worn if they fit in the color palette (and will stay on if you have choreography), do not have visible logos, are non-athletic, and add to the formal element of the concert. Heels should be 1 inch or less. Girls should wear nude, white, or cream tights or nylons under skirts and dresses.

No sleeveless tops.
No bare midriff (you need to be able to lift your arms straight up over your head and have at least 1 inch overlap of shirt over bottoms).
