Come and play with the pit orchestra for the Patty Duke Awards 2026! Every year, high school musical theater students compete for 8 finalist spots at the Patty Duke Awards.

These 8 finalists were exceptional leads at their high school musicals. From those 8, 2 Patty Duke Award winners are selected to compete at the national Jimmy Awards in New York (which is the Tony Awards for students). While there, they prepare for the Jimmy Awards show, do workshops in dance and singing with Broadway professionals and ultimately compete for national recognition and Broadway talent scouts!

We will be playing three songs: opening number, a character medley (a mashup of 8 Broadway songs), and a closing number. All three numbers are yet-to-be-decided. There will be about 17-18 minutes of playing time. I usually have a tight turnaround to get all the music arranged, but should be able to distribute it the first week of May.
