We expect the best of the singers in Cantus Youth Choirs. In order for the choirs to perform music that is challenging and engaging, we need every moment of limited rehearsal time to refine the music.
Most ensembles meet one hour per week, and we produce a live concert after only 13-14 hours of rehearsal time. If we met like a typical high school choir, this would be like presenting a concert on Monday of the third week of school.
Singers need to learn and memorize the music at home. To help, provide practice recordings. If your singer needs additional assistance, please contact his/her ensemble director.

Directors may require singers to submit regular practice sessions. A practice session is a video of the singer singing a long to a back track at home.
