Announcing Season 13 Contemporary Ensemble Finalists

VoiceOver Contract of Expectations: Participation in VoiceOver is a year-long commitment (September 2022 through April 2023). You are expected to come to every rehearsal; and are permitted three absences (please text the directors). Rehearsals are 8:15 to 9:30 pm, Tuesday nights. You are also required to participate fully in Concordia, our traditional varsity choir. Concordia rehearses 7:00 to 8:15pm on Tuesday nights. You will be expected to meet all memorization deadlines and assignments for Concordia to maintain membership in VoiceOver.

VoiceOver memorization testing will be held on our 5th rehearsal, Tuesday, October 4th. You will sing your part as a solo from memory to the backup track in an in-person private performance for the VoiceOver directors. If you do not pass, your spot in VoiceOver will be given to someone else. The directors will help teach the music, but you WILL HAVE TO PRACTICE AT HOME to make this deadline.

Bella Visi Contract of Expectations: Participation in Bella Visi is a year-long commitment (September 2022 through April 2023). You are expected to come to every rehearsal; and are permitted three absences. Rehearsals are 8:15 to 9:30 pm, Tuesday nights. You are also required to participate fully in Concordia, our traditional varsity choir. Concordia rehearses 7:00 to 8:15pm on Tuesday nights. You will be expected to meet all memorization deadlines and assignments for Concordia to maintain membership in Bella Visi.

Bella Visi memorization testing will be held on our 5th rehearsal, Tuesday, October 4th. There are only 18 microphones available, but this year’s Fortis will have more than 18 members. Fortis members will audition for vocal roles and backup non-singing roles (like percussion line, backup choreo, etc) for each song. Everyone will have a chance to be on a mic and sing.

Fortis Contract of Expectations: Participation in Fortis is a year-long commitment (September 2022 through April 2023). You are expected to come to every rehearsal; and are permitted three absences. Rehearsals are 5:45 to 6:45 pm, Tuesday nights. You are also required to participate fully in Concordia and Virtuoso, our high and middle school traditional ensembles. Concordia and Virtuoso rehearse 7:00 to 8:15pm on Tuesday nights. You will be expected to meet all memorization deadlines and assignments to maintain membership in Fortis.

Fortis part testing will be held on our 5th rehearsal, Tuesday, October 4th. You will sing your part in a small group with the backup track during rehearsal for the Contessa director. You may use music for this testing. If you do not pass, your spot in Fortis will be given to someone else. Your director will help teach the music, but you WILL HAVE TO PRACTICE AT HOME to make this deadline.

You are also required to participate fully in combined Concordia and Virtuoso, our high and middle school traditional ensembles. Concordia and Virtuoso rehearse 7:00 to 8:15pm on Tuesday nights. You will be expected to meet all memorization deadlines and assignments to maintain membership in Contessa.

Contessa part testing will be held on our 5th rehearsal, Tuesday, October 4th. You will sing your part in a small group with the backup track during rehearsal for the Contessa director.
