Announcing Allison Linton as featured guest artist at Season 12 Finale Concert

Cantus Youth Choirs is proud to announce local artist, Allison Linton as our featured guest artist at THE HUMAN HEART Season 12 Finale Concert on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Allison Linton is an accomplished voice teacher and performer, living and working in Eagle, Idaho. By the age of 7, she landed a role in her first full-length production of the show, Within These Walls.  Now as a seasoned vocalist, her versatility as a performer has allowed her career to encompass a wide range of performance genres from opera to musical theatre, and from concert works to contemporary singing styles. Mrs. Linton has been training vocalists across the United States and abroad for over 20 years and is in high demand as a cross-over artist, teaching various vocal techniques including: Classical and Musical Theatre Legit styles, as well as Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) styles of mix and belt.

Mrs. Linton began her collegiate training at Brigham Young University in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy (Opera), later switching her concentration to Musical Theatre. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) from Brigham Young University’s prestigious Music Dance Theatre Program, where she studied with world class performance and voice teachers, performed in onstage productions, and danced with the university’s Tap Dance Team.

Following her collegiate studies, Mrs. Linton moved to Chicago, IL where she landed her first formal voice teaching position. It was there that she discovered her talent and love for teaching vocal technique. Subsequently, Mrs. Linton’s students have consistently won and placed in Idaho IMEA State Competitions, IMEA District competitions, Treasure Valley NATS Student Auditions, and Illinois ISMTA State competitions. Her voice students are regularly accepted, and offered vocal scholarships, to esteemed university programs across the country in the areas of Vocal Performance (Opera), Musical Theatre, and Commercial Music.

Mrs. Linton has a diverse studio and her students have performed on American Idol, The X Factor, off-Broadway shows, national tours, and in bands touring the United States and Asia. Other students are enjoying busy performance careers as pop/country artists, choir directors, voice teachers, singer/songwriters, record label producers, theatre music directors, and more. Mrs. Linton is a member of the National Association of Teachers of singing and is currently the Vice President of the Treasure Valley NATS Chapter.  She has been married to Bret Linton since 1996 and they have 4 fantastic children.
