I’m a parent, what’s going on?

We have an extensive MEMBERS dashboard on our website. You can access this by clicking MEMBERS in the main navigation bar. Parents AND singers use this Members Dashboard extensively.

Singers use the Member Dashboard to stay informed, submit auditions, practice their music, submit practice sessions, and view upcoming events.

Parents use the Member Dashboard to stay informed, view your purchase history, view progress on any payment plans you have open, and update your contact information.

To say informed, we use the following tools:

Frequent Email Blasts. When you register for Cantus, your email address gets imported into our mailing list. You should read these emails. Please make sure your email is on our list.

Calendar. Every event is posted to our Cantus Member Calendar. We use Google Calendar, so you can sync the Cantus calendar to your computer or mobile device.

Member Bulletins. On the Member dashboard, we post Member Bulletins. We always send an email out when we post a bulletin.

Texting. Occasionally, we send out text messages for urgent or timely reminders. We use the cell phone numbers you and your singer provided at registration.

Facebook. We post information to our Facebook page, Cantus Youth Choirs. You can also join the Cantus Family Forum (not an official Cantus site) group to connect with other Cantus families.

This might seem like a lot, but you’ll be fine if you read our email blasts and keep your eye on the calendar.
