Update on Tour 2020

We hope this finds you and your loved ones well. It is with much sadness that we announce that we are giving up on last year’s tour. As you may know, many businesses in California have been closed for some time now, and that includes Disneyland. There is no indication that we would be able to pull together a tour this year, and we feel it is best to return as much of your costs as we can at this point. The hotel we contracted with has been closed for many months, so we do not know if we will be able to get that money back eventually, or if they will be able to honor our credited amount in the future. We will certainly attempt that when the hotel reopens, but we have no way of knowing when that will be, or if the ownership and management will even be the same when it does. In these unusual and unfortunate circumstances, we have decided it is time to cut our losses.

So, what happens next?

In the next few weeks, we will be working through our list, identifying those who have not received a refund already, and returning $535 to those individuals via check; please be watching for that–it will be an auto-pay perforated check that is easy to mistake for junk mail. IMPORTANT:

  • If your address has changed since September 2019, please reply ASAP with updated info.
  • If you do not receive your check by March 1st, please email or text Mrs. Paskett at melody.paskett@cantusyouthchoirs.com, 208-608-1525.
  • If you find yourself in a position to do so, you may also choose to donate the $535 to a tour or tuition scholarship. If you wish to do this, please contact Mrs. Paskett ASAP. (Any donation would be tax deductible; we can provide a donation receipt if you would like one.)

Can I get the full amount back?

The money we paid to the hotel seems to be irretrievable at this point (that is the difference between your actual payment and the $535 you will be receiving.) If we are able to recover that deposit money in the future, we will let you all know and return those funds to you.

What about the future?

We look forward to touring with you again, and have high hopes that the 2021-2022 season will bring more favorable conditions!

In the meantime, know that we love and miss you! We hope you are well and we can’t wait to make music and memories with all of you again.
